tasting of treachery
Tea time a painful memory
Your laughing eyes,
warm tea soaked kisses
days spent in bed tasting every inch  


Then I found blond hairs
I’m brunette so are you

Lies flavoring the orange juice
excuses falling so easily.
But I ignored it, content over lunch
happy and so blind.
Your dinner was the secretary
served raw on your desk.
My mid-night snack gooey
flavored with betrayal

But you’ll never notice the hairs,
after all twins share everything

Eyes the same shade, lips just as lick-able
and hips that drive just a touch harder.
Your jokes are old but I don’t mind

watching a smile that shadows another

‘How’s Miss Secretary’ I laugh
watching identical frowns as I walk out the door
ignoring the sound of fist hitting face
Smiling as I head out for dessert
and maybe just maybe a cup of tea
